I'm a research scientist on the AI/ML team at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. I am broadly interested in applying probability, statistics, and information theory to real-world problems, particularly in compression and scientific domains.
I obtained my PhD in computer science from UC Irvine in 2024, where I had the fortune of working with Stephan Mandt. My PhD research explored the connection between deep generative modeling and data compression (see my book and dissertation).
