I'm a PhD student studying machine learning at UC Irvine. I'm fortunate to be advised by Stephan Mandt.
I'm interested in probability theory, information theory, and statistical learning in general. My PhD research has explored the connection between deep generative modeling and data compression (also see a recent talk here).
I got my bachelor's degree in computer science from UT Dallas, where I was advised by Nicholas Ruozzi.
